Accessing Siemens Syngo Service with No Password

Sep 17, 2019 | Tech Tips, General Imaging, Siemens

In this tip Kevin covers how you can still access Siemens Syngo service even when you don’t have the password to get into service module.

We’re going to discuss how to gain limited read-only access on a Siemens single-platform system using a generic-level password. In this example, we’re working on a Definition AS.

Steps for Read-Only Access

  1. Log into the local service interface as usual.
  2. Clear out (blank) both the User ID and Password fields.
  3. Click OK to proceed.

When you enter the system this way, the interface may look similar, but you’ll notice that many service menus (such as tune-up procedures) are blocked. However, you can still access certain reports.

What You Can Access
Reports:

  • Go to the Reports button to access various logs and Quality Assurance (QA) reports.
  • You can also retrieve site information and tube current history here.

Tube Scan Seconds:

  • Even without a high-level service password, you can monitor tube scan seconds to anticipate when a tube might reach end-of-life.
  • In this example, the current tube has 100,7106 scan seconds logged.
