Today, I’m coming to you with another tech tip about your MRI system. We’ll discuss your cold head assembly and things to check when you’re servicing your magnet.
When servicing your magnet system, you must always verify that your cold head is operating optimally. If it is not, you’ll see signs of condensation and/or ice buildup on your magnet and at the valves of the magnet system.
If you suspect you have a cold head issue, you should first check the gauges on your cold head compressor. This is usually a good indicator of what’s going on with your system, and you can troubleshoot from that point.
