The heat exchanger on a Toshiba Aquilion CT plays a crucial role in the overall function of the scanner. Just like the radiator and engine in your car, the heat exchanger keeps the x-ray tube cool. If defective, then the system is unable to perform scans–the engine, so to speak, won’t run.
So how do you know if your heat exchanger is defective?

HOW TO DIAGNOSE A DEFECTIVE HEAT EXCHANGER:
To see if the heat exchanger is causing the error, follow these steps:
Step One: Check to see if there is power applied to the heat exchanger.
Step Two: Make sure the heat exchanger fan filter is not clogged and all four fans are spinning.
Step Three: If the generator type is SRU:
Step Four: If the generator type is Spellman:
